How do I install a sound device onto my computer so I can actually hear sound?
I reformatted my computer so everything got deleted especially my sound device and I don’t know how to install it back so I can get sound. What do I do?

You need to figure out what type of sound device you have, then get the device driver for that specific device. You should have it with the CDs that came with your computer. If not, Right click my computer, go to properties, then the hardware tab, and click device manager. From there you should see a problem with your "Sound, video, and game controllers". Either try to update that with generic windows drivers, or search google for drivers for your specific audio device.

You either put in the cd that came with the motherboard.
Or you google search your motherboard + driver
For instance, my motherboard is an "asus m2a vm hdmi"
So all I have to search for is "Asus m2a vm hdmi drivers"
and I click on the first link.
Good luck!

Hi,
Use start, control panel, soun ds & audio device properties to find out what audio device you have.
Make a note of that and then perform a google search to find the drivers.
Otherwise, start, control panel, system, hardware, device manager and see what is listed under audion in there.
